If you own or have access to any Cook County genealogy reference sources, please contact one of the Cook County ILGenWeb Coordinators to be listed on this page. NOTE: Lookup Sources, along with copyright dates MUST be included in your LOOKUP OFFER email.

USGenWeb policy prohibits lookup volunteers from infringing on copyright, so please do not ask for large quantities of information, information on multiple people, or Xerox copies of pages from the resources.

Some of the lookup researchers listed on this page are "VOLUNTEERS" - which means they offer their services at NO charge (not even for copies!!!).
Some of the lookup researchers listed on this page are "EXPENSE ONLY RESEARCHERS" - which means they offer their services and charge VERY minimal fees for reimbursement of their expenses only. If you find that ANY of these researchers are charging for "time", please let me know so that I can remove them from this list.

These LOOKUP RESEARCHER and VOLUNEER lists are intended as an aid for those who cannot hire a professional genealogist... they will not be used as a free advertising media for personal profit!

Cook County "Legal Notices" (1944-1947 only) This is a transcribed list of public record informaiton from legal notices for adoption court hearings in Chicago. It cross-references information for more than 200 case records, and can be used to help researcher find original public notice at it appears in National Court Reporter or Chicago Law Bulletin. Please provide full name(s) and/or specific case number of interest. If record is found, email reply will be sent back with available information. Requests should be limited to personal usage, and information is intended only to help augment family records. Information provided is not to be used for any commercial purposes.
